Description:
R-Drive Image creates disk image files for backup or duplication purposes. Disk image file contains exact, byte-by-byte copy of a hard drive, partition or logical disk and can be created with various compression levels on the fly without stopping Windows OS. These drive image files can then be stored in a variety of places, including various removable media. R-Drive Image is capable of restoring images on the original disks, on any other partitions or even on a hard drive's free space. R-Drive Image creates a special bootable diskette to restore system partition. To restore only certain files from a disk image, you can connect the image as a virtual disk and copy those files directly from the disk image using Windows Explorer or any other file utility. A free 15-day trial version allows you to verify all R-Drive Image capabilities except creation and restoration a disk image when R-Drive Image is launched from a bootable floppy disk created by the trial version.

Top piece of software! This product has saved me a massive amount of time, effort and money to boot! I am so surprise to see the previous 3 comments rating this software as poor!!!Perhaps they work for the competitors. Our business purchase this software for under $45 USD and have regular images taken each month and incremental images scheduled every single night. This week we had our O/S (Win Server 2003) become corrupt and we were unable to get back into the machine. Fortunately we had R-Image backup so I installed a new O/S and then had R-Image creat a boot CD which then stepped me through replacing a suitable back up (prior to the O/S being corrupt). The full server restore (all partitions and drives) took about 1.5 hrs. Very, very happy with this software and would highly recoomend for any one looking for a cost effective solution to backing up and insuring your critical data. (BTW - you can test a backup image at any stage, as well as look into an image and retrieve files without needing to recover from the image)

I maintain the network at my office and installed this on a Win 2000 server. It does not work at all. Called tech support and at that point realized they were going to be of no help. looking for another program! Do not recommend this program.

lost my drive

It backed up my entire drive into a .arc file, and when i tried to restore it I got a write error. I haven't found any way of restoring the drive. R-Drive does let me mount it as a virtual drive, but that's not good enough. I wish I hadn't depended on this program.
