DU Meter is a powerful and user-friendly tool that enables you to use your Internet connection more efficiently.
DU Meter lets you see how much of your full bandwidth potential is actually utilized at any given point, either by displaying a real-time graph, numerical display, or both.
It works with Dial-Up, ISDN, Cable Modem, and Ethernet cards. DU Meter can be configured to fit neatly in the blank space on your browser toolbar, preserving valuable desktop realestate.
It also uses only a very small amount of Windows resources and memory.
DU Meter is a standalone utility whose installation involves no changes to your Windows system files.
The current version includes several great features, including full logging capabilities, reporting, charting and alerts of network activity, auto-hide, an option to snap the window to the new mini mode, the ability to load with Windows and a readout in either kilobytes per second or kilobits per second which can be scaled to your own modem download capabilities.
DU Meter also includes a handy stopwatch which accurately times downloads and reports the average transfer rates, plus full compatibility with Windows 2000/XP/Vista

| DU Meter really helped me fine tune my internet connection and helps me keep my ISP honest. When my connection gets flakey DU Meter is right there letting me know! |

| This software’s first impression is a small semi-transparent window that shows the Download and Upload traffic in kB/sec. The traffic is displayed in numbers as well as a color-coded running bar graph. You would really want to have this program running in the background or kept at one corner of your desktop. Right click, select Options and you have a host of settings to customize this utility.
“DU Meter” keeps logging the download/upload traffic and makes it available for you as Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports. It also displays projected daily traffic and traffic since the current date. These logs really help you to know your internet usage.
A nifty feature of “DU Meter” is the Stopwatch. Multiple stopwatches can be opened and used to log the download/upload traffic between specific intervals. This feature is quite important when you want to know the amount of traffic generated when a link is clicked and the time taken by the webpage to load.
