Clipmate is without question one of the most used and useful programs on my computer. The rich feature set of this software elevates it above all other clipboard extender programs. Especially nice is the clip editor that allows all sorts of useful changes to what you copy. There is also a screen capture feature which enables you to snag anything from a tiny item to multiple screens. Not only can Clipmate can hold thousands of clips in easy to organize folders, but these clips can be moved via drag and drop. You can access many of the most popular options buttons for the editor right from the task bar, including being able to see what item is currently in paste. These are but a few of the numerous features of this fantastic piece of software. Initially Clipmate can look a bit confusing as there is slightly steeper than average learning curve for its rich feature set, but with a little practice you will be a master of one of the most useful computer utilities. I''ve had Clipmate on my machine for the past five years and find it to be absolutely indispensable. This is a very fine piece of software and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Clipmate is the best of its genre!

If you want to save a screen or perhaps only a few shaded words, ClipMate is a must-have Utility. I use it every day, many times a day. I do not know what I would do without it. It is easy to use, full of features and not expensive. As the man might have said: Don''t boot up without it!

Over the years I''ve downloaded and tried many shareware products, but those I''ve paid for and kept are few. ClipMate is one of them, and I''ve had it for about five years. It has made my life easier many times, by keeping everything I copy or cut. To be sure, sometimes I have to go in and clean stuff out or organize the clips into different "collections," as the folders are called. One of these--or at least until my hard disk crashed--I called my Commonplace Book, and I collected "wise saws and modern instances" in the manner of my beloved Renaissance diarists. I also have a collection called URLs, which at times is more convenient than IE''s Favorites. Another collection is Email, which as an address book is perhaps more secure albeit less convenient than the conventional ones. Thornsoft''s customer service is excellent. I''ve had to call a time or two to get my registration number when changing computers, and they''ve been most obliging. The program is so well-made that there are seldom any technical issues to be resolved. The tutorials are helpful, and the almost-unique "Viewlets" are a fine instructional tool. Version 6.2 has an improved interface. Most conspicuous to me was the clean-up-HTML utility. I suppose some might think "Append" is more accurate and dignified than "Glue" but I kinda like the vivid and graphic "Glue." Either way, it can be a great timesaver when making lists. Thanks, Thornsoft, for a great piece of software.
